FeatureCAM has a Dynamic Snapping Grid which allows you to create geometry in the X, Y and Z planes without having to create a new UCS.  In a front or back view the grid will be in the X plane, in a right or left view the grid will be in the Y plane and in the top or bottom view the grid will be in the Z plane.
