Here's the situation:
You always keep a specific tool in a
specific tool slot in the machine tool you use.
Featurecam can be taught to remember
that this tool is always in that slot. The convenience of
this is that whenever Featurecam selects the tool it automatically
assigns it to the correct slot.

Generate toolpaths in Featurecam.

Go to Manufacturing, Tool Mapping

Select the tool you in question
and assign it to a slot.

For example, if you always keep an
80mm facing mill (M08000) in tool slot 31 - visit tool mapping
and change the tool no. to 31 and click "save in
crib".

This will save this tool to the current
tool crib. In the future this tool will always be
assigned to slot 31 if it is used from this toolcrib.
