1. Mechanical Desktop has an "amacisout" command that can be issued at the command line from Mechanical Desktop.  

2. This is the best way to import solid model ACIS files from Mechanical Desktop into Featurecam Version 7.

3. This creates a file with an sat extension.

4. To bring into Featurecam just open up a new fm file.

5. Go to File , Import and select "ACIS" as the filetype.

6. Select your sat file.
