Do you have a turned part that needs some mill work?  If so then a simple way to represent the stock is use the curve that is the outside shape of the turned part for your stock curve (this only works on round and n-sided stock).  FeatureCAM v8 can use solids for custom stock shapes so you could also use the curve to create a solid of revolution.
