FeatureCAM gives you the ability to setup several attributes that correspond to your machine capabilities, so that we generate an accurate estimation of machining time.

Go to Manufacturing ->Mach. configurations, select your default configuration by double-clicking on the name, then go to the 'Operations' tab.

• You can set up cycle times for rapid traverse, tool change,etc.

• This will enable FeatureCAM to calculate a realistic machine time for your part file.

Tip: Once you set your attributes to the correct value you will need to run a part in your cnc machine and change the 'X-Y acceleration' in FeatureCAM until the time is close to your machining time.  This procedure should be performed only once until you get the correct time estimation.
