FeatureCAM Update Versions

Beta versions are for expert users only.  They are newly released versions that may still contain issues.  Release versions are for any licensed user of FeatureCAM.

Warning: downloaded versions will overwrite old programs. Use a different folder name to keep old version i.e. featurecamv12.

Version 13 has been released and shipping has begun. If you have not received your upgrade by August 31, 2006 please contact admin@featurecam.com.

To Import Autodesk Inventor 11 Files

Please install the Autodesk Inventor Design Tracking v11 software by clicking this link. 

This is a zip file. Open the zip file, Extract to a folder and  double click on Setup.exe.

Note:  Autodesk Inventor Version 11 Design Tracking does not support Windows 98, or Windows NT.

To Import Solidworks 2006 Files

SolidWorks 2006 was released after FeatureCAM 2006.  This means that FeatureCAM 2006 was originally shipped with the ability to import SolidWorks 2005 files.  The remedy is to go to update your FeatureCAM to the latest release (see the chart at left).  The first release with SolidWorks 2006 support was 12.0.1.39.

Also note that if you import something into SolidWorks 2006 and save, (don't put any other SolidWorks features on it), FeatureCAM will not read anything from the .sldprt.  This will be resolved in SolidWorks 2006 SP1 release.  Workaround is to export the .sldprt as a Parasolid (.x_t) with SolidWorks and then import the .x_t into FeatureCAM.
